Chain of Command
Jane Carson, 72 years old in 2013, was 1LT Lane's nursing supervisor at the 312th Evacuation Hospital in Chu Lai, RVN.

“She didn’t care where she worked. She just wanted to help,” recalled Carson. “She was a very caring, soft-spoken individual, and I wish I could have known her better but time didn’t permit.”

Spoken at the 44th anniversary of Lane's death during cerimonies at the Aultman Hospital, Canton, Ohio.
