TSgt. Weredehoff was one of the crew members lost in the shoot down of CH-54A (#64-14205) in the A Shau Valley, Thua Thien Province, RVN. The mission was to delivery of a bull dozer to LZ Tiger. in Quang Tri Province. The crew was listed as MIA and non-recoverable at that time (Remains recovered and identified 1999 & 2001). Three helicopters were lost in that incident. with 9 men listed as MIA.
