Last Known Activity:

Sgt. A.J. Hobbs entered the Army on 11 July 1941 at Fort McPherson, Atlanta, Georgia.

At the time of his loss, Sgt. Hobbs was serving with Company G, 3rd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. 

His unit parachuted into Normandy on 6 June 1944.  Later, parachuted into Holland in Operation Market Garden

He was killed on 27 December 1944 in the Ardennes, (Battle of the Bulge).

He was interred in Fort Creek Baptist Cemetery, Dearing, Georgia.
