TECHNICAL SERGEANT JOHN E. TAYLOR WAS A MANAGER AT A RETAIL STORE BEFORE ENTERING THE SERVICE ON 14 AUGUST 1942. HE SERVED AS CHIEF CLERK WITH HEADQUARTERS 215TH ENGINEER SERVICE BATTALION IN REYKJAVIK ICELAND FROM 19 JUNE 1943 TO 6 AUGUST 1945. AFTER RETURNING TO THE U.S. T/SGT TAYLOR WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED AT FORT MEADE MARYLAND. JOHN TAYLOR PASSED AWAY ON 1 APRIL 1998 IN CLEVELAND OHIO.
