SGT Reginald Alvin Watkins, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Charlotte, NC. Sergeant Reginald Alvin Watkins was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army, SGT Watkins served our country until November 15th, 1965 in South Vietnam. He was 25 years old and was married. It was reported that Reginald died from multiple fragmentation wounds from a mine. His body was recovered. Reginald was born on April 30th, 1940 in Charlotte, North Carolina. SGT Watkins is on panel 03E, line 063 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 6 years.
He is the Husband of Mrs Mae R Watkins, 1118 Oaklawn Avenue, Charlotte, NC. Son of Mr Leroy J and Mrs Amelia Watkins, 1514 McCall Street, Charlotte, NC. He served with Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division,(AMBL), USARV. He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), The Bronze Star Medal with V Device for Valor, The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, The Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal(s).
