Michael was The Best!!!

I was a very young newly married girl when I moved clear across the US from California to Virginia. I was barely 17 and still in high school.. Michael was in my first period art class and he took pity on a poor lost new student and became my friend. How grateful I was for his friendship. He spent time with my and my husband and helped a very homesick girl adjust to life in a new state and as a grown up.. I am forever grateful to him for just the time and care he took. One of the finest people I have ever met and even tho he has been gone all these years.. He still lives in my memory and heart as a very dear and thoughtful friend.. I was blessed to have known him..

Mike was from the Phoebus section of Hampton, VA..  He graduated from KecoughtanHigh School class of '66.  Son of John & Isabel O'Keefe.  He lived most of his life at 49 W. Hygeia Av.  He loved rock & roll and football but, most of all his fellow man. He became a medic since he felt that he could not take another's life. I'll always remember him as the best big brother anyone could have

Robert O'Keefe (his brother)

Mike and I attended Kecoughtan High School at the same time.  He was Class of 66 and I was Class of 65.  To pay honor to him and his service, I adopted his profile at TWS
