POSTED ON 10.16.2022, POSTED BY: CINDI FITTS FRANCK, STILL MISS YOU. Dear Gerald, You are my big brother. You were 18 and I was 13 when you left for Nam. Mom hurt every day for you for the rest of her long 94 year old life. I believe when her soul left her body that God, you and her mother caught it and she could finally be happy again. Your family is still so proud of your bravery during the Tet Offensive in 1968 as B Troop saved who was left in C Troop and you all saved the Tan Son Nhut Airbase from the Viet Cong taking it over. I taught my 3 children who are grown now about their Uncle Gerald. They are also so proud of you. As you know your brother and baby sister also love and miss you and I believe you're with Dad who also fought for freedom. Someday your siblings will be there with you too. It's been a longer lifetime without you here on earth. Love and miss you so much. Cindi.

POSTED BY: CURT CARTER. REMEMBERING AN AMERICAN HERO. Dear Sir, As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned. May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you. With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir. Curt Carter, May 19, 2012.

POSTED BY: ANONYMOUS, It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin is draped in the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag. Throughout our history America has been built on the blood of heroes and Brave Men of Honor like this Soldier. Thank you for your service, bravery, and for the ultimate sacrifice you have made. Thank you for my freedom. Rest well in God's loving embrace, brave soldier. You Sir, are a true American Hero who is remembered by a grateful Veteran. Dec 8, 2008.
