Last Known Activity:

T/5 William Windom enlisted in the Army on 19 February 1943.  He served with B Company, 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division in the ETO.  He was part of the occupation forces in Frankfurt-am-Main at the end of the War.

After his service, he entered into a career of acting.  He is, perhaps, best known for his starring roles in various movies, such as portraying the prosecuting attorney versus Gregory Peck in To Kill A Mockingbird, and television shows  including The Twilight ZoneStar Trek, My World and Welcome to It (awarded an Emmy), and The Farmer's Daughter among many others.

He passed away in Woodacre, Marin County, California., 16 August 2012.
