Wesley H. Clark
Born: July 25,1923 in Wayne County, West Virgigia.
I am assuming he entered miltary service about 1943 when he would have been 20 years of age. Have found that it was in August, 1943 when he was sent to Camp Barkeley, Texas (Basic?) and then to Europe.
After the war, Wesley reinlisted at Camp Crowder, MI on the 5th of Oct 1945 for the Hawaiian Department. His last enlistment was the 5th of October 1949. This was after 6 years, 10 months, 6 days of service thus far. He would die September 27, 1950, just 8 days short of a year later. His remains were recovered later and he was interned in Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, West Virginia in 1953. Head headstone has him with the final rank of SFC.
He attended Ceredo Kenova Schools and his civilian occupation was a Lumber Grader. His marital status was single with dependants. He was a Baptist and the son of Mr. and Mrs. George Clark, 18261/2 Sycamore St. Kenova, West Virginia.
Father: George Clark (Born 1887)
Mother: Lillie Clark (Born 1881)
