PFC John Ernest Morone (RA 12258948)  was born May 9, 1929 in Jackson Heights, Queens County, New York.  He entered the Army at 17 on July 26, 1946.   He was already in occupation duty in Japan, when his unit  the 25th Reconnaissance Company of the 25th Infantry Division was committed to battle on July 17, 1950 when it landed at Pusan, South Korea.  Apparently, John fought for 15 months before developing Epidemic Hemorrhagic Fever.  He was sent to the 121st Evacuation Hospital where he died on October 21, 1951.
