Comments/Citation PVT James Junior Edwards (US 52128261) was drafted probably just after his 20th birthday or around January of 1950. After his Basic Combat Training he was sent to the 25th Reconnaissance Company of the 25th Infantry Division which was still stationed in Osaka, Japan until July 13, 1950 when the unit was sent to Pusan, Korea and immediately committed to battle around the Pusan Perimeter. James fought in all off their battles up to the start of the one that finally took his life which was the start of the Summer-Fall Offensive beginning May 1, 1952 and lasting till November 30, 1952. He died May 1, 1952. About a year previous to this, or on April 23, 1951, James was Wouded In Action (WIA). The account says seriously wounded in action. However, he was returned to duty on June 29, 1951. His final resting place is at the Baltimore National Cemetery (Section N, Site 1899). His internment date was August 8, 1952, that's three months after his death. At least they found his body. Could not find much more info on James. He was a Black American Soldier.
