Sgt. Billie Truman Maupin was postumously promoted to Sergeant while Missing In Action (MIA), while serviing with the 25th Armored Reconnaissance Company.  He went missing on January 3, 1952 and was declared dead on December 31, 1953. 

In some records, he is listed as serving with the 7th Recon. Company, 7th Infantry Division.

He was born on July 15, 1929 in Pleasanton, Atascosa County, Texas.   His father was Hubert Vinzent Maupin (1904 - 1934) and his mother was Alma Bertha Pittman (1906 - 1988).
