My first trip to a Yankees Game at Yankee Stadium (now the Old Yankee Stadium) with fellow Soldiers: Bob Pettis, Kerri Carson, Edna Cruz, and others. SPC Gavigan purchased a $25 ticket with us, that included a free bus ride, but he sold his ticket and got a cab to visit his family. The Yankees won, 4-3, with a strong pitching performance by Dwight "Doc" Gooden, and the Yankees went on to win their first World Series since 1978 that year, over the Atlanta Braves, and three more from 1998-2000. Good times!
