This is a picture of part of the Ft Stewart SRT. We were the soldiers who went to the Southeast Regional SWAT Competition. It was rare for US Army SRTs to be invited and then able to attend the regional competitions. We were an example of why military teams weren't invited. Military Police SRTs are never full-time teams. It's an additional duty, so we don't get to shoot, practice, or do live fire simulations as the civilian teams do. But we came out on top in the one-week competition. Competing against teams from Florida, Georgia, South and North Carolina, and Tennessee was quite an honor. They were all outstanding teams, but somehow we squeezed out as champions.
