This is me with Thinh, a 15-year-old who was forced to serve as a Vietcong at age nine. He "chieu-hoied" and volunteered to become a Kit Carson Scout (KCS). We are on the helipad atop FSB Hill 4-11 waiting to join our respective companies with the evening resupply: him to D/3-1st Inf. and me to C/3-1st Inf.
