Athletic Letters and Awards
57 of 141
from  Life in White City, KS: 1985-1990  album
Attached are two awards I found from High School. One was for being a 4-year Letterman for Football and Track & Field. The other is for being voted "Most Inspirational" my senior year of Track. Being afforded an opportunity to actively participate in Football and Track & Field, was important to helping me learn to work with others and conforming to team leadership goals...things that are critical to success in the military and any business. Even my two years on the Men's Basketball Team (where I didn't have enough playing time on the varsity squad to letter), were fun and learning experiences under Coach Mike Boeh. Humility is something everyone should get a taste of, in order to understand those who feel unappreciated or discriminated against. I'm thankful for my time at White City High School and my life-long friendships. While I haven't lived there in over 20 years, the people still remember me and check on me once in a while. I hope to visit more often in the future, now that I am retired from the military.
