I have served with the finest Men in the Army while at all my units, there are a very few that I did not call friend.
CAN YOU RECOUNT A PARTICULAR INCIDENT FROM YOUR SERVICE, WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE BEEN FUNNY AT THE TIME, BUT STILL MAKES YOU LAUGH?
While on Operation Winter Shield II, my tank was among two others that were broken down in this small town in Germany. One of the tanks was stuck in the mud up to the sponsen boxes. It took three tanks and a tank retriever to pull it out and when finished the farmer to whom the land belonged to, stated that 10,000 tanks went though his farm during WWII and didn't do as much damage as we did.
