What are you doing now:
I am a retired Postal Service Worker. I retired from the USPS as a Mailhandler in 2003 after just 10 years service for a total of 36 years federal service.

Other Comments:
I hated every minute of my career as a Postal Worker and nearly all the Supervisors within that domain are idiots!

US Army Service

WHICH INDIVIDUAL(S) FROM YOUR TIME IN THE MILITARY STAND OUT AS HAVING THE MOST POSITIVE IMPACT ON YOU AND WHY?
There have been so many. I seemed to always be in the right place and I have always associated myself with others that believed like me and taught like me and endured like me so, it's hard to single out one individual.
Ther one Military Leader that I admire the most would be Lt. General Lewis B. (Chesty) Puller I know, although he was Marine......No, that's not the case. He was an absolute Soldier and a born leader. Don't believe me, read his biography by Burke Davis titled MARINE! The Life Of Chesty Puller.
|
WHAT PROFESSION DID YOU FOLLOW AFTER YOUR MILITARY SERVICE AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING NOW? IF YOU ARE CURRENTLY SERVING, WHAT IS YOUR PRESENT OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY?
USPS
|
WHAT MILITARY ASSOCIATIONS ARE YOU A MEMBER OF, IF ANY? WHAT SPECIFIC BENEFITS DO YOU DERIVE FROM YOUR MEMBERSHIPS?
DAV, American Legion
|
IN WHAT WAYS HAS SERVING IN THE MILITARY INFLUENCED THE WAY YOU HAVE APPROACHED YOUR LIFE AND YOUR CAREER? WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST ABOUT YOUR TIME IN THE SERVICE?
I am to this day stead fast and true to my word. My honesty has paid large dividends and I attribute that to being in the Military.
|
BASED ON YOUR OWN EXPERIENCES, WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO THOSE WHO HAVE RECENTLY JOINED THE ARMY?
I have no advice but I do have a stong belief that it will always remain an Army that can overcome any inside or outside distractions. The US will always be a Nation that will produce the next "Best Generation.

IN WHAT WAYS HAS TOGETHERWESERVED.COM HELPED YOU REMEMBER YOUR MILITARY SERVICE AND THE FRIENDS YOU SERVED WITH.
It's to early to say but hopefully, my old comrades will come on board and we can share the good, the bad and the ugly!
