Gilbert, my dear friend and classmate, your time on this earth was so very very short, and you will always be missed by me and all of your dear classmates from "Carter C. Raymond High School" in LeCompte, Louisiana. Even though your place of birth has been mistaken, I know that you were from Louisiana and not Los Angeles, California as stated on the board. Rest on my friend in the Arms of God your Father, and Jesus His Son. I hope to see you again one day in The Holy Place Called HEAVEN. Until then, be at "PEACE" my dear friend and Classmate. You are loved and missed by all of us from The Class Of 1966! Thank you for your dedication in The U.S.Army. You are indeed "My Hero!" In Christ, Your Dear Friend And Classmate, Patsy AKA Pattie A. Kirk Zimmerli.

Dear PFC Gilbert King, sir As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned. May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you. With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir Curt Carter
