'When I am dead, cry for me a little. Think of me sometimes, but not too much. It is not good for you to dwell too long. Think of me now and again as I was in life, at some moment which is pleasant to recall, but not for long. Leave me in peace as I shall leave you, too, in peace.'

Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

I'm a retired MSG U.S.Army from Louisville, Ky who wants to keep your memory alive. You are not forgotten. We soldiers do not question our duty, but do our part to keep and preserve freedom. However! You gave the ultimate sacrifice. It would have been nice to have known you as a person. You forever will be a HERO. We should never let these brave men "Fade Away", their memory and the Vietnam War should never disappear from our thoughts and history.

Mike and I ran around together some before we went into the service. Then we got togehter when we could when we were at Ft Knox and Ft Polk. He took further advanced trng after AIT. I left for Vietnam in Jan 1969. I'm not sure exactly when he arrived in country but we did exchange a few letters during the period our tours overlapped. I returned home in Jan 1970 and still had almost 7 months military obligation, which I finished up at Ft Knox. I was visiting with my parents when Mike's sister Janey called and told me that Mike had been KIA. The news gave me an empty feeling inside. Mike had a Full Military funeral but some of us local friends served as honorary pallbearers. It was indeed a sad day for all who knew and loved Mike. I've read the After Incident Report of the circumstances leading up to his death and several of his team members. All of the team members were Heroes that day. Mike, Thank you for your service, sacrifice and friendship. You'll never be forgotten.

Never forgottten
I remember when Donna came to school and told us her brother had been killed. It really affected me and I think of him often. I went in the Army when I left high school and hope my honorable service was a memorial to this brave, fine young man.
