What a wonderful job you have done that has brought some closure for myself. Leaving school and entering the Marines in 67 I've been out of touch with old classmates and teammates. I was in country when Larry was killed and contacted through mutual friends. Having spent over 40 years not knowing the dates for sure and etc, my heartfelt thanks. I’d love to hear from his sister Sandra if you can pass this on. Yes please send info on PSR recording. My fondest memory of Larry I’d like to share was a game where I being a few years younger than Larry was sent in to play beside him. I remember there was blood running out of one corner of his mouth and tobacco out the other side. Larry says freshman, they will run the ball right at you and sure enough they did and Larry made the tackle. He just laughed and encouraged me more as they drove me right out of their way. He became my hero. This has always been my fondest memory of a well liked and funny guy who was tough as nails. Forever remembered.

Memories of Larry
Larry and I played next to each other on the line. He was a great individual and I think of him very often. He played hard and was very dependable. My wife and I went to pay our respects to Larry the day before I left for Southest Asia (Thialand). We will see him again and look forward to that day.

Honor to a fallen comrade
It was during the 60's that I met Larry at NE Jr. College. He left for duty to our country and I followed from 1967-71. I want to thank you for your service to this country and I guess we all still struggle with the question, 'Why him and not me. May you rest in the hands of God!

This is hard for me to write, for 38 years I have tried to forget Viet Nam. I have never been able to forget Larry. I was the driver on the apc that Larry was on. This has always been my regret that I could not tell Larrys family how he died. I will be going to the 3/4 cav reunion in July. He will always be in my mind Larry was just like all of us we were all scared but we did what we had to do. In my memory Larry will always deserve a heros award

A Friend
I went to school with Larry for 11 years. He was a very likable, funny guy. He would do almost anything to get a laugh. Everyone loved Larry. Occasionally I go by the cemetery where he is buried and I always think of him. We had a class reunion last year and there was an honored place for Larry and some other deceased members of our class. He will always be remembered by us. He died a Hero along with thousands of other men and women. They too will be remembered. "Thank You" for all you did. I wish you didn't have to go so soon. Love to you friend!

I remember when
I remember LARRY and his sister SANDRA pulling me around in a little red wagon in 1959, he was a funny and bright boy, the only boy of four children, he was always nice and kind to everyone he met, he was a person i still look up to today, i often pass his grave sometimes i stop, but always i think of him when i pass pleasant view cemetery, he was taken way to soon. god bless all these young men, today i visited the wall replica at whittwell tn, and i went straight to your name larry and made an etching, i still remember, i will always remember.

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER
It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die
