Dave. Just a short note to let ya know we still remember you. You were an old timer when I got to Nam, and you used to call me "Hillbilly". Your sacrifice is not forgotten, and you will always be remembered.

When I think of Nam, I think of you Dave.
Dave was on my APC, B-trp 3/4 Cav. 2nd plt track #23. I was the TC and served with him. I think of him when I think of Nam. A great guy with a great sense of humor. He was the kind of guy that made Viet Nam more bearable. I still look at the pictures that I have of him and I and still shed a tear knowing that he is no longer with us. I get especially sad on Memorial Day and Veterans day thinking of my lost buddies. Thanks to Dave's parents and family for giving me the chance to meet and serve with such a great guy.

Mother's Loving cousin.
I just want to say even though I don't know who he was I just think that he is a hero and that his spirit lives on forever. From a distance the world looks blue and green, and the snow-capped mountains white. From a distance the ocean meets the stream and the eagle takes to flight. From a distance there is Harmony, and it echoes through the land. It's the voice of Hope. It's the voice of Peace. It's the voice of everyman. God is watching us, from a distance!

A Friend
The first year I began my teaching career at Burnsville School I sometimes rode the school bus driven by Sol Brown. David rode the same bus and we became friends. He was so full of life and such fun to be around. David, you will never be forgotten as long as we live here in Ireland and Braxton County. David is listed as being from Lewis County because he had an Ireland address, but actually lived in Braxton County, WV
