“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!

We Remember

Never Forgotten
FOREVER REMEMBERED
"If you are able, save for them a place inside of you....and save one backward glance when you are leaving for the places they can no longer go.....Be not ashamed to say you loved them....
Take what they have left and what they have taught you with their dying and keep it with your own....And in that time when men decide and feel safe to call the war insane, take one moment to embrace those gentle heroes you left behind...."
Quote from a letter home by Maj. Michael Davis O'Donnell
KIA 24 March 1970. Distinguished Flying Cross: Shot down and Killed while attempting to rescue 8 fellow soldiers surrounded by attacking enemy forces.
We Nam Brothers pause to give a backward glance, and post this remembrance to you, one of the gentle heroes lost to the War in Vietnam:
Slip off that pack. Set it down by the crooked trail. Drop your steel pot alongside. Shed those magazine-ladened bandoliers away from your sweat-soaked shirt. Lay that silent weapon down and step out of the heat. Feel the soothing cool breeze right down to your soul ... and rest forever in the shade of our love, brother.
From your Nam-Band-Of-Brothers

Thank You
Dear Arnold,
I am involved in the Gridley High School Posting Project and I am a student from Gridley, Illinois. I am writing remembrances for the soldiers who gave their lives during the Vietnam War. Their bravery and dedication will never be forgotten. I would like to take this moment to thank you, Arnold, for all that you did. You will always be remembered. God bless.
Sincerely,
Kelsey Zehr
You will never be forgotten
Dear Arnold,
For the Gridley High School Posting Project, I would like to thank you for all your devotion to our country. The sacrifices you made to fight for our freedoms and beliefs are heroic. Knowing that you could lose you life had to be a hard concept to comprehend but a choice that had to be made. Your loyalty and bravery will never be forgotten. You will always be remembered as a hero.
Sincerely,
Ashley Kiefer

In one of my classes at Gridley High School in Gridley Illinois, we are doing a posting project to remember all those who gave their lives in service to our country. Thank you for having the heart and courage to give your all for the values and beliefs of our country. We will never be able to repay you, but we will never forget the sacrifice you gave. God bless you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Kaleigh Schlipf
