WE GREW UP TOGETHER

BILLY WAS MY "LITTLE BROTHER" AND MY REAL BROTHER'S BEST
FRIEND. I LAST SAW BILLY ON CHRISTMAS DAY 1968, WHILE HE AND I WERE BOTH HOME FOR CHRISTMAS. HE HELD MY NEW DAUGHTER. I NAMED MY SON AFTER HIM ON OCT. 26, 1971. HE IS FOREVER IN MY HEART, AND I MISS HIM DEARLY.

Bad day
Posted on 6/11/05 - by Dave

This day, 6/9/69, exactly 35 years ago today was a bad day for Kansas City, MO. We lost four hometown boys that day. We lost CPL. Miller and we lost P.F.C. Harry Long, as well as Hartman from Independence. My neighbor actually knew you, and used to run around with you. He told me that he still thinks of you. I am sure he always will. –

You were nice to me.

Bill...you were in my gym class. I had transferred from a Catholic school, and did not know many people. I was fat, a nobody. You were a super bad ass and you were very nice to me. It meant a lot to me. Thank you Bill...God bless you.You are not forgotten.

Heck of a nick name wasn't it?...Sometimes you just get stuck with them, I had only been in country about 4 weeks on that fateful day. I remember you had a terrible cold it was 105 degrees out and you had a cold. I haven't forgotten after all these years, rest well my friend.

Too a ture hero and my fathers best friend. My god protect you and may we meet in heaven someday. My father gave me part of your name so he will always remeber the friend he lost. I always visit your grave to say a prayer and lay a flag for a man i never got the chance to meet.

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. "He which hath no stomach to this fight let him depart. But we in it shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother”. Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless You for your Sacrifice!!!
