Although I never got to meet you, your service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. Thank you to you and all the others that served and sacrificed. You did the most courageous and bravest thing that anyone could have done, served our country. I have a rubbing of your name off the wall. Thank you again. Your cousin, Jamie

Remembering An American Hero
Posted on 1/30/14 - by Curt Carter ccarter02@earthlink.net

Dear SGT David Lee, sir As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned. May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you. With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir Curt Carter

My Hero
Dear David,
I am a student at Gridley High school. We are doing The Gridley High School Posting Project. My class and the rest of the high school are posting remembrances for all of those who fought in the Vietnam War. I want to tell you that I greatly appreciate all the time and effort you took to support our country. It takes a lot to do what you did. It takes a lot of courageousness to go fight for your country. We need more soldiers like you today. Thank you and God Bless.
