Butch, wife and I went to the traveling wall last week at Michigan International Speedway. Looked up your name, and it brought back a flood of memories of you. Remember when we met it O'Harw airport? My folks gave you a ride home for your wedding before we both shipped out to that godforsaken place where you lost your life. God bless you my friend, until we meet again. Steve H

Peace
The soldiers do not speak. Nevertheless, they are heard in the still houses: who has not heard them? They have a silence that speaks for them at night and when the clock counts. They say: We are young. We have died. Remember us. They say: We have done what we could but until it is finished it is not done. They say: We have given our lives but until it is finished no one can know what our lives gave. They say: Our deaths are not ours: they are yours they will mean what you make them. They say: Weather our lives and our deaths are for peace and a new hope or for nothing we cannot say: it is you who must say this. They say: We leave you our deaths. Give them their meaning. We were young. they say. We have died. Remember us:

A FELLOW SOLDIER NOT FORGOTTEN
Floyd you fought the good fight but the good Lord needed you more than we did. I have had the opportunity to speak with your sister Lea and I can feel through her words that she misses you. From one soldier to another I will just simply say "Job well done Soldier" you've made us proud. Keep busy while you're up there and stop by the front gate every now and then and keep an eye open for we other soldiers who will be reporting in shortly. God Bless
