“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

My Uncle
I never knew him, he died before I was even thought of. I heard so much, I wish I could of known him. Just yesterday I got to read and see what he did serving in vietnam, what risks he had to take, and the bravery he showed and had. I'm very proud to say he is my uncle. To find out he is held in high regards with the army, and sacerficed his life for the lives of so many. It brough me to tears when I seen the picture and read all about him, It was awsome to know that was my uncle. I always had a certain feeling towards all of the women and men serving our country now, because my uncle did lose his life serving our country. But now that feeling is so much greater, now that I know in detail what he was faced with and what he had to do for his country. In return he did sacerfice his life, Literally, for the lives of others. I LOVE YOU UNCLE CHARLIE, wish I could have known you.

NATIVE AMERICAN PRAYER
It is said a man hasn't died as long as he is remembered. This prayer is a way for families, friends and fellow veterans to remember our fallen brothers and sisters. Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain, I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight, I am the stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there, I did not die

Our generation is grateful
Being a sophomore at Gridley High School, I have no personal ties or links to this fallen soldier. However, I do believe it is important to recognize and remember this man's service to his country. My sympathy rests with this soldier at his grave. He died with the most honor obtainable. My God rest his soul and bless his loved ones
