Dennis, We hardly knew Ye.
Dennis and I were in school together. I was in country with Bravo 1/7 Cavalry, 1st Cav Division, when I got the news of his death. It was years before I visited his grave. His parents were present and grateful when we dedicated his name on the Illinois Vietnam Veterans' Memorial.

Don''t grieve for me, for now I''m free. I''m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard Him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay that day, to laugh, to love, to work or play. Task undone must stay that way. I found peace at the close of the day. If my parting left a void, then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Ah, these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with time of sorrow. I wish for you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life''s been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved one touched. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, but don''t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and share with me. God wanted me now, He set me free!'' (Author Unknown)

“You are Remembered”
Peace and condolence, to the family and friends. “He which hath no stomach, to this fight, let him depart. But we in it, shall be remembered. We few, we happy few, we band of brothers!! For he today, that sheds his blood with me, shall always be my brother.” Rest in peace brave soldier, you have not been forgotten. (W.Shakespeare) May God Bless you, for your Sacrifice!!!

I wish, I had known you, better, than I did.
Dennis, we grew up, about 3, blocks, from each other, we attended, many classes together, in grade school and high school. I'am sure, that we played, little league together, also. I wish, that I could have known you, better. I was in Viet Nam, too. The words, "all gave some, some gave all," really means alot, to me. I'am sorry, that you did not, make it home, alive. My prayers go out, to you and your family. Cliff Hall, 585, W., Bryn Mawr, Roselle, Il..

Shining Star
Dear Dennis, This March, (2006) will be the 36th, Anniversay, of God, welcoming you, to His Heavenly, home. Hundreds and hundreds bid you farewell, that day and I dare say anyone, who knew you, lost, of bit, of themselves ,when you, left us. Although the ribbon tied letters, photo albums and tapes, remain secure, after all, these years, it's, your spirit that remains closest, in a corner, of my heart. We had such great plans, but that was, not to be. Your memory will, live on and I, thank God, that he graced, me, with you. Now, with your parents, Jack and Joan, finally with you in Heaven, I know they are overjoyed, to be near, you, again. Thanks, for the memories and I'll, never forget you. Love, Peggy

Thank You
Thank you very much for giving the ultimate sacrifice in the fight for freedom. You
have served at a young age and I really appreciate that, being 18 years old myself. You
have given the ultimate sacrifice for your country and this is greatly appreciated. Thank
you.

Vietnam
It stands alone
against a background of devastation
In a garden turned by chaos
Nurtured by blood and marrow
each thorn weighted by the tear
for someone now gone
Each petal offering no color
but the darkness of fear
It's life sustained by those who
come to smell of it's bitter scent
Alone
Always growing
Always there
Always the Black Rose

Untitled
30 years my friend and few days go by that I don't think of you and the beast of many colors. Your photo hangs in my living room with your name from the wall. For all the time I have spent thinking about it I still don't know why and for my final peace of mind I need to have a reason for your dying.
I miss you my friend. You
Will always be a part of
me
