It's Memorial Day...a time to remember. I remember you! I remember the day you showed up for our first date. You were scared to death of my Dad, but you showed up anyway. You were so handsome...and so bad, but I loved you with all my heart. I remember the day I went with your Mom and Dad to take you to the airport to catch your flight headed for Vietnam. Silver Wings was playing on the radio and my heart was breaking. I remember a conversation between you and your Dad about you going to Canada instead of Vietnam. I rember you saying going to Vietnam was the right thing to do. You were so brave...and so honorable. I remember when you were wounded. I remember when we received word that you had been killed. I remember when you came home...I remember. RIP, will always be remembered with love and pride.
