Personal Memories

Best Friends
Me - top row, third from left looking at the photo
I was the Housemouse for the Platoon

Best Moment
Field training
Drilling on the grinder
Eating the Navy Mess Hall out of food in two days when ours burned down

Worst Moment
Drilling on the grinder
Being cold all the time even though it was Spring because we never shut the windows
Trying to learn commands on the grinder as the airplanes are landing and taking off

Instructors
SSGT D. D. Corte Real - Sr. Drill Instructor
SSGT M. A. Ciampi
SSGT T. B. Thacker - Replacement Drill Instructor
SGT R. R. Downie

Other Memories
A Recruited named Hollywood because of his green colored lens in his aviator glasses.

The guy named Jesus on the bus at Reception with the long hair and taking the harrassment from the Drill Instructors about his name and the length of his hair. Glad I had mine cut the day before I shipped.
