Last Known Activity
I was a fill-in gunner with the 128th. I flew in Scott's place a number of times. I guess it could have been me that day.  I am sorry you were killed Scott. I try to live life every day to the fullest knowing that for the grace of God my name could be on the wall instead of yours. Rest peacefully.

Scott was killed when his aircraft crashed on 1 June 1971.  The cause of the crash is not known and it never will be.  It exploded in midair near Tay Ninh after picking up 3 MACV Advisors from the Nui Ba Den (The Black Virgin Mountain). There is speculation that it was hit by an artillery round  but we will never know.
