Sp4 Ronnie Lee Robertson, Vietnam Veteran, Native of Old Fort, North Carolina.

Sp4 Ronnie Lee Robertson was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Army Selective Service and a Draftee, SP4 Robertson served our country until August 15th, 1969 in Quang Ngai, South Vietnam. He was 20 years old and was not married. It was reported that Ronnie died when his helicopter crashed near San Juan Hill East of Ba-To. His body was recovered. Ronnie was born on August 16th, 1948 in Old Fort, North Carolina. SP4 Robertson is on panel 19W, line 047 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for one year.

He was the son of Mr and Mrs Homer E Robertson, Route #2, Box 75, Old Fort, North Carolina.

He served with Bravo Company, 4th Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment, 11th Infantry Brigade, USARV.

He was awarded The Combat Infantryman's Badge(CIB), The Bronze Star Medal, The Purple Heart Medal for his combat related wounds, the Vietnam Service Medal, The Republic of Vietnam Campaign Service Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, The Army Commendation Medal.
