CPT Marlin E. McCahan, USMA Class of 1959. Congressional Appointment from Pennsylvania's 16th Congressional District. Co B-2, USCC. Cullum # 22687. Infantry officer, then branch transfer to Transportation Corps branch. Airborne school (Basic Parachutist Badge). Army Aviation school. Assigned 73d Aviation Co, US Army Support Command, MACV, Republic of Vietnam. Died in aircraft accident, Quang Ngai Province, 24 Jun 1964. Final resting place - USMA Cemetery, West Point, NY; Section VI, Row D, Plot 196. Obituary - AoG ASSEMBLY magazine, Summer 1965 edition. Remembered on the National Vietnam Memorial ("The Wall") on the Mall in Washington, D.C., Panel 1 East, Line 55. "None so Fine as '59!" "Well done: Be Thou at Peace."
