Comments/Citation PFC Lorenzo Columbus Maulden died of wounds July 26, 1966 at 25 years of age. He was from Florida. He was married in June, 1963 in Alacha County, Florida,to Gracie Delores Johnson (Born: 14 Oct 1941 in Alacua County, Florida).
Lorenzo received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. Source is July 22, issue of Tropic Lightning News which he is listed as being awarded the Purple Heart. He died later that same month on July 26, 1966 thereby receiving his second and last Purple Heart.
His daughter, Audrey Maulden Key indicates that he went into the army in Sep.1965. Lorenzo's father was James Maulden who was born in 1891 and in 1945 he is listed as a Fireman. Lorenzo had 5 other siblings older than him in 1945. They were James II, Amanda, Ethie Lee, Alice and Eilla Mae. Lorenzo was listed as an Evangelical United Brethren.
