 Pfc. U.S. Army, Vietnam War-Pfc. Lucas was killed in a Vehicle crash on 2-27-1970 while serving as a Heavy Vehicle Driver with the 444th Transportation Co. of the 27th Trans. Battalion, 8th Transportation Group, Army Support Command Qui Nhon, 1st Logistical Command. Pfc. Lucas started his tour of Vietnam on 4-11-1969.

He is the son of Mr. Howard L. Lucas, Sr. of 598 57th Street, Chicago, Illinois & Mrs. Pearlie P. Phillips of 4518 South Vincennes Avenue, Chicago, and the husband of Mrs. Lamenza T. Lucas of 251 West 38th Place, Chicago.

Awards: Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal and The National Defense Service Medal.
