A Note from The Virtual Wall

On 18 July 1968 elements of D Company, 34th Engineer Battalion, were conducting a road mine clearing mission in Binh Duong Province, South Vietnam. About five miles south of the city of Ben Cat, PFC Earl F Seablom detonated a mine which fragmented his body beyond identification and killed two others immediately; a fourth died shortly thereafter of wounds received. The four men were

PFC Manual A Castillo, San Jose, CA; killed in action
