 Additional Information
Last Known Activity
"...In early May 1966, Alpha Company was sent up the coast to Bong Son for Operation Davy Crockett. The presence  of the North Vietnamese had been confirmed in that area. May 5, 1966, was the second day of the operation.

After a day of searching villages and total exhaustion setting in, Alpha Company dug in for the night with a green rice paddy in front of them bordered with a thin wood line. Unexpectedly, from the tree line there was approximately thirty rounds of machine gun fire. At the age of 21 my dad was killed by hostile ground fire in the Province of Bon Son, Vietnam."  Source: http:www.sdit.org
