Just before Richard went to Vietnam (4 months) he was married to Ann Gesualdi, in Wethersfield, Connecticut on 2 March, 1968.  They were married in a Roman Catholic Church.  He was drafted and his service number was US 67037687.  His tour started July 11, 1968 and ended September 22, 1968, or 74 days in country.  His MOS was an Armored Reconnaissance Specialist (11D).  He was in 3rd Platoon of A Troop 3/4 Cavalry of the 25th Infantry Division based at Cu Chi, South Vietnam.
