CAPTAIN CHARLES BRYANT SNAPP SON OF BRYANT AND LILLIE B. WILLIAMS SNAPP DIED OF NON BATTLE CAUSES NEAR LEIPHEIM, GERMANY ON 5 JUNE 1945. CPT SNAPP WAS PILOTING A L-4H PIPER GRASSHOPPER AT THE TIME OF THE ACCIDENT (UNKNOWN) THAT TOOK HIS LIFE.

CPT SNAPP SERVED WITH THE 455TH BOMBARDMENT SQUADRON, 323RD BOMBARDMENT GROUP, 9TH USAAF AS A A B-26 PILOT AND HAD BEEN WITH THE UNIT FROM SOMETIME IN 1943 FIRST BASED IN ENGLAND THEN FRANCE AND FINALLY GERMANY.
