Last Known Activity TECHNICIAN FIFTH CLASS RALPH HANSEL WIMER WAS KILLED IN ACTION ON D-DAY 6 JUNE 1944. HE SERVED WITH "E" COMPANY 2ND BATTALION, 506TH P.I.R., 101ST AIRBORNE DIVISION. T/5 WIMER WAS ON C-47 #66 WHICH CRASHED IN FRANCE WITH 16 MEMBERS OF EASY COMPANY ABOARD INCLUDING THEIR C.O. LT THOMAS MEEHAN III AND 5 CREW MEMBERS.
