Disaster in Korea (book with section about SFC DeCorrevont)

SFC Floyd Decorrevont graduated from Bosse High School (Formerly called East High)  Evansville, Indiana. - 1944. Enlisted in Army December, 1944. It is now known that Floyd served in the Pacific Theater of operations during the second world war, specifically, the Philippines.  Still have to ascertain the unit he served with. He was sent to Japan in February, 1946.  He was the 3rd Platoon Sergeant of the 25th Reconnaissance Company of the 25th Infantry Division.  His M24 Chaffee Tank was No. 2. He was postumously awarded the Silver Star.

In a written post about her uncle, Yvonne (Decorrevont) Lottes writes: "Floyd was my uncle and died two years before I was born.  While I did not have the honor of knowing him personally, I feel I know him through his papers, letters, and other keepsakes that my father, Elmer, kept about his brother."  I have tried contacting her to see if more information may be ascertained about her uncle.  Hope more will be forthcoming.
