Hymn to the Fallen performed by the 451st Army Band.
Chief Warrant Officer Grogan of Virginia Beach, Virginia was a graduate of Moore High School and attended the First Baptist Church of Moore. His love of swimming led to a position in the Navy as a search-and-rescue swimmer. Later, he became interested in flying and transferred to the Army to become a pilot. He leaves behind a wife, Tracy, and two children, ages 6, and 2, and his grandmother, Wilma North. He was the son of Barbara and Lewis Grogan. Travis comes from a long line of military men. His great-great-great grandfather lost an eye during the Civil War. He was 31.
CW2 Grogan joined the Navy in 1991. He served as a helicopter rescue crewman in HS 75 "Emerald Knights" at NAS Jacksonville from 1994 to 1997 with the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. From 1997 to 2000 he served in HCS 4 "Red Wolves" as a helicopter utility crewman at NAS Norfolk as a Petty Officer 2nd Class. In 2000 he transferred to the Army to become a helicopter pilot.
