SP4 Philip J. Adams' obituary: POSTED ON 11/2/16 - BY WKILLIAN@SMJUHSD.ORG PHILIP J. ADAMS Mr. Adams, 32, of 78 High Street, Cresson (Sankertown), died Sunday, June 6. 1982, in his home. He was born June 5, 1950, in Sankertown, the son of Alfred D. and Dolores M. (McGuire) Adams. Surviving are his parents of Sankertown, four brothers and sisters: Ronald of Roselle, NJ, Norman, stationed with the Marines Corps in Hawaii; Elaine McCloskey of Lakemont, and Nancy Hoover of Ebensburg, and 14 nieces and nephews. Mr. Adams was a member of St. Francis Xavier's Catholic Church, Cresson.
He was also a member of Sankertown VFW Post, Cresson American Legion Post, Cresson Lodge of the Moose, Cresson Community Sportsmen's Association, and Cresson Community Bowling League. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a 1968 graduate of Cresson Joint High School. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 PM today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Tuesday in the Charles M.
