Jay was one of my fellow pilots in the "Spuds" -- 131st Aviation in Phu Bai, I Corps in 1969. Jay, his twin brother Darryl, and I were close friends. We flew the horrific monsoon missions "out of country" -- in the weather, at night, in the OV1 Mohawk. Jay was the best of the best -- an honor to have served with him.
