My Buddy Billy Posted on 2/16/10 - by Robert Kirkconnell bobkirk47@aol.com
Little League, Halloween pranks, and other mischief! I was in Vietnam when Bill was killed. He went into the Airborne because he was afraid of heights. In high school, we got into trouble when we set off a firecracker in the movie theater.... One memory after another flows through my mind when I think of "Billy." My buddy, taken way too early in a war that is about as sorry as it can get. No reason for it. Billy should still be here with us. I miss him, but I am thankful to have known him and his family.
