NORMA E. VERON, 92, New Albany, died Sunday, September 20 (2009) at Floyd Memorial Hospital. She was a former employee of the US Pentagon and US Census Bureau. She was a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and St. Mark's United Church of Christ in New Albany. She was preceded in death by a son, Murray Lee Veron, who died in service to his country in South Vietnam, 1968. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Norman Veron; daughter, Teresa Sponcil of Louisville; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Services were held Thursday, September 24 at Kraft Funeral Chapel with private burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Mark's United Church of Christ in New Albany.
