T/SGT LEROY BURNS,  SON OF ROY AND HELEN BURNS WORKED AS A GROCERY STORE CLERK BEFORE ENTERING THE SERVICE ON 15 SEPTEMBER 1942. ON 5 FEBRUARY 1945 T/SGT BURNS WAS SENT TO EUROPE WHERE HE SERVED AS THE SUPPLY NCO ASSIGNED TO HEADQUARTERS COMPANY, 216TH ARMORED MEDICAL BATTALION, 16TH ARMORED DIVISION UNITL 7 MARCH 1946. UPON RETURNING TO THE U.S. T/SGT BURNS WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED AT FORT GEORGE MEADE, MARYLAND ON 25 MARCH 1946. LEROY BURNS PASSED AWAY IN BALTIMORE MARYLAND ON 28 DECEMBER 1993.
