For actions during North Vietnamese attack on LZ Siberia in Vietnam on August 27, 1969. As S-3, 1st Battalion, 46th Infantry, Americal Division, LTC Remener had taken two rifle companies from LZ Professional to LZ Siberia to support 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry, which had been under heavy attack.
