T/5 ELZA N. BAKER SON OF JESSIE AND NEELEY FRANCES WOODDELL BAKER WAS A FARM HAND NEAR ST. GEORGE, WEST VIRGINIA BEFORE HE ENTEREDTHE SERVICE ON 23 OCTOBER 1942. HE WAS SENT TO BERMUDA ON IN DECEMBER 1942 WHERE HE SERVED WITH THE 2072ND ENGINEER AVIATION UTILITY PLATOON UNTIL NOVEMBER 1945 WHEN HE WAS SENT TO FORT MEADE MARYLAND WHERE HE WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED. ELZA BAKER PASSED AWAY ON 4 SEPTEMBER 2003 IN ASHTABULA, OHIO AND WAS LAID TO REST AT GREEN LAWN MEMORY GARDENS IN NORTH KINGSVILLE, OH.
