TECHNICIAN FOURTH GRADE ROBERT WILLIAM GRAPES WAS IN HIS 3RD YEAR OF COLLEGE WHEN HE ENTERED THE SERVICE ON 21 JULY 1942. HE ATTENDED THE MIDLAND RADIO AND TELEVISION SCHOOL IN KANSAS CITY MISSOURI BEFORE GOING OVERSEAS. T/4 GRAPES SERVED IN ICELAND AND EUROPE WITH THE 121ST SIGNAL RADIO INTELLIGENCE COMPANY FROM 1 MARCH 1943 TO 12 NOVEMBER 1945. AFTER RETURNING TO THE U.S. T/4 GRAPES WAS HONORABLY DISCHARGED ON 25 NOVEMBER 1945 AT FORT MEADE MARYLAND.
